I had a little wander down The Shambles the other day as I hadn’t been down there for some time. It was partly to get a couple of pork pies from a great butcher there, but also to have a look at the Harry Potter shop, thinking that the mad rush since opening might have died down…….it hadn’t ! It’s going strong, and I found the staff to be very happy and helpful despite being extremely busy answering all the Harry Potter type questions being thrown their way !
A bit busy for me so I headed out and popped into No 1 Shambles which is Barghest Gifts, which I found to be an oasis of peace and quiet compared to my last stop, but so very worth a visit all the same. By the way, a Barghest is a large black phantom dog with red eyes, said to prowl the Shambles………
A great little shop, that also sells Harry Potter gifts by the way…..
Finally, when your feet need a rest, why not pop into the Little Shambles Tea Room for a lovely cuppa and a scone ? Great little place with great staff.
Enjoy your trip to the Shambles. I always do…..
I might do some more of these……….
