Discount supermarket Aldi is eyeing a third site in York, it has emerged.
The German chain already has two sites in the city – one on Fulford Road and one at Monks Cross – but has now revealed it wants to open a third store on the former grain silos site on Water Lane, Clifton.
The site already has planning permission for 215 new homes which are being built by Redrow Homes, but Aldi have announced a public exhibition to give more details of their proposed development.
The event will take place at St Joseph’s Church Hall on Sutton Way next Tuesday, October 27 from 3pm to 7pm.
