Serving members of the armed forces will enjoy free travel as a bus company backs the Poppy Appeal.
Transdev, which runs the Coastliner and Cityzap services, has adorned several of its buses with large sized commemorative poppies as a tribute to those who gave their lives for freedom.
Building on its support in previous years, Transdev has bought an extra 57 king-sized bus poppies from the Royal British Legion to add to the dozens already displayed each year on its vehicles.
Serving members of the armed forces will also be able to travel free on any Transdev bus service across the North.
These include Coastliner services between York, Malton and the Yorkshire Coast, and Cityzap express services between York, Leeds and Manchester, on Remembrance Sunday (November 12).
