One of the aims of The York ME Community is to bring businesses on board for various reasons. One is where the business might be of interest and of use to those with ME.
We have recently linked up with Limitless Travel, a company run to provide holidays for anyone living with a disability, or reduced mobility. Their aim is to look after accessibility holiday needs with escorted coach tours with qualified care teams. Here is a little bit more about them, but there is a constant link to their site from the Limitless Logo on the left of this site if you’d like to find out more.
“Limitless Travel is changing lives and will continue to do so in the future. Angus, CEO, has always been passionate about travel. After his diagnosis of Muscular Dystrophy in 2013, he realised that he had to take the opportunity to experience as much of the world as possible before his mobility began to decline. He took a huge risk by quitting his job in investment banking to allow him to travel as much as possible, but it paid off. The different cultures he was immersed in, the experiences he had and the people he met opened his eyes up to what the world really does have to offer, it was the best time of his life.
Limitless is personal and cares about the needs of our customers from the moment they leave their home to the moment they return. Due to his own personal experience travelling with his disability it inspired him to ensure that no one else should be faced with the same issues he was. This inspiration is the backbone to Limitless Travel and his determination to make the world accessible to all continuously drives the company forward.
He has crafted a team with the right disability knowledge and experience to ensure that this determination and motivation is continued through his employees, with over half the team either having a disability or personal experience with a disability. By bringing about a social change he hopes to make an impact on the lives of many.”
