A new hub for cyclists, scooterists, bladers and boarders is planned for York.
GoGet Riding, a family run business which organises coaching and play sessions for young cyclists, is proposing to open the shop, café and teaching resource on East Parade in Heworth.
Run by Andy Roe and his wife Helen, the hub would
- be a meeting point and café
- host coaching sessions
- be the starting point for guided rides
- sell balance bikes, entry level bikes, scooters, skateboards and accessories.
They are also hoping to provide regular coaching sessions and pop-up events in Glen Gardens, directly opposite the shop.
For the younger children using balance bikes, these would take place on the disused bowling green. Classes for older children using pedal bikes could use the hard surface available on the basketball court.
