Just days before Christmas, the retailer revealed plans to close at least a third of its UK stores, putting up to 800 jobs at risk.
Bosses said they are working on a company voluntary agreement (CVA), which would allow it to jettison 26 loss-making stores.
And today (December 5) they confirmed that the store at Clifton Moor, York, is one of those set to go.
The writing was on the wall for the York outlet when Toys R Us submitted its restructuring plan to creditors.
