Disability-themed icons, a yawning face and a sloth are among the new characters to be released in honour of World Emoji Day.
Apple has previewed a selection of emoji due for release in the autumn, including a range of inclusive disability-themed characters.
The reveal coincides with World Emoji Day, an unofficial celebration of the colourful emoticons which has run on 17 July since 2014.
The 20 finalised characters include icons of ears fitted with hearing aids, characters using motorised and manual wheelchairs and probing canes for the blind and visually impaired.
