York Carers Centre regular services
Our next Carers Café is Wednesday 5 July, 10 to 11.30am at the Spurriergate Centre, York. Please come along and enjoy a free drink and teacake and an opportunity to meet other carers. You can bring the person you care for if you wish and there’s no need to book. The Spurriergate Centre is wheelchair accessible. There will be a Carer Support Worker there each month to talk to and we bring lots of information from other organisations to look at.
Our Carers Hubs are a monthly chance for carers to get together in their local community to meet other carers and take a break from their caring role while having a chat and a cuppa in a friendly space. You are welcome to come to any or all of the hubs:
Thursday 6 July 10 to 11.30am at the Friends Meeting House, New Earswick, joined by Age UK.
Monday 10 July 1 to 3pm at Acomb Methodist Church, joined by Age UK.
Tuesday 18 July 10am to 12noon at St. Aelred’s Community Centre, Tang Hall.
For more information please contact Sam Ferguson on 01904 715490 or email email@example.com
We also now offer pop up hubs in different locations across the city to enable us to reach more carers. In July these will take place:
Thursday 27 July 10am to 12.00pm at St.Oswald’s Church, Main Street, Fulford, YO10 4HJ.
