Report by Dan Bean in The Press.
A new documentary will be broadcast this weekend into the disappearance of Claudia Lawrence.
Claudia was 35 when she disappeared in 2009, having never arrived for her morning shift at the University of York on March 19. She was last seen on CCTV the previous evening. The investigation into her disappearance later became a murder inquiry, costing North Yorkshire Police about £400,000, but despite several arrests in the last few years, no charges have yet been brought.
On Sunday, a documentary by Donal Macintyre will air including new interviews with Claudia’s mother, Joan, and reporters who covered her disappearance six years ago, and which speculates on the reasons behind her disappearance.
