Hundreds Queue For Hours As New Aldi Opens In North Yorkshire

A ‘golden ticket’ promotion meant the first 100 customers received prizes.

Lee Craine waited outside for nine hours, from 11pm on Wednesday, to be at the front of the queue, winning the top prize of a tablet PC.

Other customers won 24″ LED TVs, bread makers, halogen ovens, DAB radios and shopping vouchers.
