A schoolboy from York is set to appear on the spin-off of the most successful television show of the year.
The Great British Bake Off final last month was watched by more than 10 million people, and Bootham School pupil Isaac Greenhill will grace the nation’s screens on the show’s child-friendly spin-off Junior Bake Off this week.
Isaac, who is 12 but was 11 when he filmed the show, started baking with his mother, Louise, when he was about four years old, as a way to help his coordination.
He said: “I went to see an occupational therapist to help with my dyspraxia, and they said using a wooden spoon and weighing out measurements would help me.”
Louise said she was very proud of Isaac: “I started teaching him how to bake. Now he’s teaching me things.
