Executive paper – Recovery and Renewal Update
I wanted to highlight references to the footstreets and potential investment in improved accessibility in the city centre contained with the Recovery and Renewal Update being considered at next Thursday’s Executive meeting.
The Executive will be asked to consider extending the existing arrangements in line with government extension to pavement café licence guidance. It will also consider a number of recommendations including investment in additional dropped kerbs and increased grants to Shopmobility and Dial a Ride which will improve access whatever the outcome of the ongoing review of access to the city centre.
This is not the result of the consultation over the Blue Badge exemption in the footstreets, or the wider review of access to the city centre. These will be considered together at November’s Executive.
